Gelato cases and scooping counters, laid out for service speed at the hatch, with freezer storage behind.
Wells are set for the number of flavours you sell, and that matters more than the length of the case: it decides how many tubs you can have open at once.
Self-service, so customers help themselves and you are not opening a door all afternoon for one ice lolly. It sells the tubs you would otherwise only mention.
Somewhere for back-up stock and the mid-afternoon delivery, so the serve cabinet stays a display rather than becoming a warehouse.
A closed cabinet copes with a hot shop far better than an open one, and glass facing the sun will always fight you. Where the cabinet stands matters as much as which one you buy.
The four questions we hear most, answered straight.
Because the room is hotter than the cabinet was built for. Most display cabinets are designed to run in an ambient temperature of 25 degrees, and a shop with glass frontage passes that by mid-morning in summer. Direct sun on a case does the same thing. A closed cabinet, out of direct sun, with a clean condenser, holds its temperature where an open one will not.
Frozen storage runs at -18 or colder. A scooping cabinet is held a little warmer so the product stays workable enough to serve, and that balance is set when the cabinet is commissioned rather than guessed at.
Usually, and it is often the smallest change with the biggest effect on the till. A closed freezer or a small scooping case needs a socket and about a metre of floor. Tell us what you have and we will tell you what fits.
That is a question about wells, not litres. Each well takes a set number of tubs, front to back, so tell us how many flavours you sell and we work back to the case size, rather than the other way round.
We work across the UK, and most of our jobs run from Newcastle down to Surrey. Tell us how you serve and how much room you have, and we will tell you what the cabinet needs to be.
