Refrigeration for farm shops

Refrigerated deli counters, multidecks and display fridges for farm shops. We supply from nine European manufacturers, and the recommendation follows the building you have and the trade you do.

What we usually supply

Four things a farm shop tends to need

Deli counters and multidecks for the main room, plus freezer space sized for gluts and for quiet weeks.

Criocabin MAX refrigerated counter

A counter for cheese and deli

A serve-over counter with a cold well for cheese, cooked meats and pies. Glass low enough that customers see the food, high enough to keep it cold.

Low-height multi-deck refrigeration cabinet

Multidecks for milk and drinks

Low or full height, open-front or glass-doored, sized to the wall you actually have. Doors cost more up front and cut the running bill for the rest of the cabinet's life.

ISA Supercapri gelato and pastry display case

An ice cream or gelato case

If you sell ice cream by the scoop, a case with a cold well keeps the tubs workable on a hot afternoon and shows the flavours off properly.

Criocabin Genesis System cold room

A cold room for stock and prep

Chilled storage behind the shop, sized to how often you take deliveries, so the counter gets restocked without a run to the van.

Farm shop questions

The things farm shops ask us

Straight answers to the four we hear most, including the ones about old buildings.

Usually yes, and it is most of what we do. Low ceilings, uneven floors and narrow doors change both the cabinet and the route it comes in, so we survey before anything is ordered. If the building cannot take a condensing unit on an outside wall, a plug-in cabinet avoids the problem altogether.

Enough that a Saturday queue does not wait, and no more. A counter that is too short loses sales at your busiest hour, and one that is too long costs money to run and chill air nobody buys. Tell us your busiest day and the range you want to show, and we will size it.

It can, because an open case spills cold air into the aisle. Glass doors fix that and cut the running cost. If you go remote rather than plug-in, the heat is dumped outside the building, which keeps the shop warmer and quieter than a unit running under the counter.

Yes. Scooping cases for tubs and gelato, and glass-front freezers for pre-packed. Deciding between them usually comes down to how you serve and how much space you can give it.
